What an incredible find! We came here for breakfast and will absolutely be back. Family style, all you can eat, and everything was amazing!

We stopped here for a weekend getaway and our friends recommended Monell's! The restaurant made you feel like you were having a big family dinner your home and it was a cozy atmosphere. We were sat with other parties and the meal was served family style! They had classic southern comfort food and it was a great way to be introduced to Nashville!

What an experience! My fiancé and I visited a friend for the weekend, and he took us to Monell's. They don't take reservations, so the weekend wait was long--but absolutely worth it. We were seated at a large table with another party and shared dishes family-style, which made the meal feel warm and communal. The food was delicious, with a great variety to choose from, they provided many different options for drinks as well. Once you're done, you receive a ticket and pay at the front. A standout perk is their late-night meal offerings--perfect after a night out. The atmosphere felt like dining at a friend's house, complete with charming plates and attentive servers. Just keep in mind that parking is limited, we were lucky to find some street parking close to the restaurant

It's always a good time at Monells! Everything is served family style at big tables. The food is always good and the service is always great.

First time visiting based on the recommendation of a stranger in Krogers! We were in town for New Years and wanted black eye peas for good luck. Arrived around 2p. They closed at 3p. It. Was. Packed. Got food to go. Wait was maybe 15 minutes. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Portions were good. We ate pork chops, green beans, corn bread pudding and corn bread. Everything was good and well seasoned. Our total bill came to $22! A steal for home cooking in Nashville! The restaurant is family style. You may be seated with strangers. Food is brought to the table and you pass in one direction. Interesting concept! Looked like only seating was inside. Outside was a waiting area with heaters. Without a doubt we will return when in Nashville. Forgot to take pics of food when we returned home.

Went to Monell's for breakfast to celebrate my dad's birthday with a party of 10. It was so cozy and intimate. The service was amazing and the staff was very kind and attentive. There were plenty of food options like pancakes, cinnamon rolls, bacon, and fried chicken. Plus they offer hot coffee and sweet tea. Everything is all-you-can-eat and family style.

It Doesn't Get Much Better Than This... When in Nashville, one should eat like the locals do. To celebrate a young bride and groom the day after their wedding, we headed to Monell's Dining & Catering in the Germantown District. The tables are set up community style so you may be seated with other groups for a family style meal. Adults pay a flat rate of $16.95 at this time and all are served fried chicken, grits, biscuits and gravy, and much more. Everyone passes to the left and you can have as much sweet tea as you would like. We have determined that when we are in Nashville, we will always go here for the perfect comfort breakfast. Really interesting experience eating at this long time restaurant in Nashville. You sit with strangers at a long table where you pass dishes to your left like family members. Its all you can eat. We had pulled pork, meatloaf, green beans, Mac and cheese, fried catfish, fried chicken, etc. Everything was cooked perfectly. The ambiance was definitely first class. Price is reasonable at around $50 for two on the weekend. Weekday prices are slightly cheaper. The neighborhood that the restaurant is in is also very nice and recommend to check out after meal.

What an awesome experience and tasty food in Nashville! This was our first experience with family-style dining with strangers and had such a great time! The staff was super welcoming and friendly, it felt as though we were being welcomed into someone's house. Even the building and decor felt that way as well. We came in for lunch and were seated at a large table with another party. It was nice to meet some other people (funnily enough, they were also from California like us) and share some conversation with them. The food and drink were super good, literally the definition of comfort food. Our personal favorites were the coleslaw (I usually don't like coleslaw), mac and cheese, fried chicken, and the corn bread. There was so much food and on top of that, the experience is all-you-can-eat. The prices are super fair too. Definitely spend some time here at Monell's if you're in Nashville. I also recommend just putting the phone away during the dinner (they don't usually allow it at the table anyway) so you can really embrace the moment and have a good time with strangers, you never know who you'll end up meeting!

Five stars! What a great experience! AYCE fried chicken meal at Monell's. You enter the landmark building & are seated with 12 people at a communal table. Fried chicken is the main start of this meal. It comes with sides such as cheddar cheese grits, corn grits, bacon, sausage, potatoes, ham, cinnamon rolls, biscuits & white gravy, pancakes, and more! Meals are served with sweet tea, coffee, unsweetened tea. Take a serving and pass to the left! The servers constantly check to see if the table has enough food! You will get your fill and the dishes never run out! Fun meeting people who live locally, across the nation, and even from Canada. Staff are fast and friendly!
